The Geoscience Society of Iceland hereby invites you to attend the 35th Nordic Geological Winter Meeting. The meeting will take place from the 5th to the 7th of January 2022 (NOTE NEW DATE) in the Harpa conference hall in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Here you can get pdf of the 2nd circular.

As promised, there is now a volcanic eruption in the vicinity of Reykjavík. We cannot promise that it will still be ongoing in January but, we will do our best. An organized field excursion to the eruption site is planned on Saturday the 8th of January.

Due to the COVID 19 situation, it is not certain what the world will look like in January 2022 but we are optimistic that an on site meeting will take place here in Iceland. However, an online meeting is also under consideration. The final decision of the meeting format will be made in July.

Themes and sessions are published on our homepage www jfi is/ngwm_ 2022 If there are any questions, please send an email to Þorsteinn Sæmundsson (steinis@hi is).
Additional information about the meeting and travel arrangements will be added to the
homepage www jfi is/ngwm_ 2022.

We look forward to meet you in January and hopefully the meeting will be held on site in Reykjavík.
